Company behind Mimoto

Baxnet builds software for making personal data easier to understand.

Baxnet Technologies builds Personal Intelligence Engines: private tools that turn user-owned data into structured understanding. Mimoto is the first, focused on personal chat intelligence.

Mimoto is the first product in that direction: message history reports, searchable exports, and relationship context for supported iMessage and WhatsApp workflows.

Mission

We build products that make sensitive personal data more understandable without hiding the tradeoffs or boundaries behind vague intelligence claims.

The goal is not to sell raw private archives. The goal is to help people control useful context created from their own data. Baxnet believes people should own useful context about themselves, not just generate value for platforms that profile them.

Current product scope

What is shipped now

Mimoto supports message reports and exports for iMessage on macOS and WhatsApp on iOS.

What we are proving

People will use personal-data tools when the value is immediate and the boundaries are explicit.

What comes next

The broader category is Personal Intelligence Engines: private systems that turn user-owned data into usable understanding.

Company snapshot

Why message history first?

Message history is one of the richest personal datasets most people own. It contains relationships, commitments, jokes, disagreements, routines, repairs, and the small details that rarely make it into formal records. It is also unusually protected: much of it lives encrypted, on-device, and outside the normal advertising and analytics machinery of large platforms.

That makes it a practical starting point for Baxnet's broader Personal Intelligence direction. If a product can turn messy private conversations into structured, inspectable context without moving message content into a cloud analysis system, it starts to prove a larger idea: personal intelligence should be built from data the user controls.

Ben Backx, founder of Baxnet Technologies.

Ben Backx is the founder of Baxnet Technologies and creator of Mimoto. His background spans banking, wealth management, large-scale technology development, business intelligence, and personalization systems.

In banking and wealth management, Ben worked on technology and data programs where large datasets were used to understand customer profiles and match them with suitable products. Later, in personalization technology, he worked on recommendation-engine systems that used a person's data footprint to decide what content to surface. Those experiences shaped the core Baxnet view: personal data has economic value, but people need better tools for owning and using the context created from their own data.

Building Mimoto has taken that view into a difficult practical dataset. Over roughly six years of product development, Ben has worked through changing iMessage data structures, localized WhatsApp export formats, conversation scoring, custom natural-language models, and the performance constraints of doing useful analysis on consumer devices.

The product is deliberately careful about what it claims. Mimoto is designed more as a mirror than an authority: it can structure exports, surface patterns, and make message history easier to inspect, but it does not pretend to diagnose a person's happiness, give legal advice, or act as a therapist.
